Cars are everywhere!

When Harry wakes up, there are cars on his floor. When he reads books, there are always cars to point out. When we look out the window (which we spend a significant portion of our day doing) there are cars passing by all the time! Sometimes even trucks! Here's Harry identifying all the cars that are passing by outside our window. It does sound like he has a slight Boston accent, but by the end, you get a pretty clear "cahhhr." (If you're wondering why I keep saying "yeah, yeah, yeah" in the video, that's because he loves singing that. I've been trying to catch it on video too:)

The nannyshare

Everyone, I'd like to introduce you to my new friend, Georgia...

To bring everyone up to speed, Harry goes to the brilliantly baby-proofed home of Kate & Joe three days a week for the nannyshare. Already, our nanny (Stephanie) says that Harry is very focused on saying "Ja, Ja" all day.

To give you some background:
Stephanie=Crystal's sister
Kate=Beth's sister
Beth=Crystal's very good friend
If you do some algebra here, I think you will find that basically all the sisters are now friends:)

So far, the only problem has been that Harry seems to have only one way to express his excitement upon seeing Georgia. That is to SHRIEK at the top of his lungs, (OMIGOD, THERE SHE IS!!I WANT TO PLAY! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!) Which, as you might imagine, could be a bit jarring to her. Aunt Steph is crossing her fingers that he'll calm down sometime soon.

Here, they are playing, without any shrieking....

And to provide a full and ACCURATE picture of the nannyshare, here they are playing, WITH some shrieking, from Georgia this time. Stephanie says that Harry is trying to touch Georgia's head, and is not smacking her in the head, as it appears here. Anyway, she does not want him to touch her head!!!

Later, the nanny catches her charges in all their cuteness:

Cars and Trucks

Harry and I were reading one of his books for the 116th time last week...Here's how it went:
ME: "Apple. Alligator."
Harry turns the page.
ME: "Baby. Ball."
Harry turns the page.
ME: "Cat. Car."
Little Voice: "Cah..."
ME: "Cup." (WAIT WHAT JUST HAPPENED? IT'S PROBABLY JUST A FLUKE.)
ME: "Car."
Little Voice: "Cah..."
ME: "Car."
Little Voice: "Cah."
ME: "OMIGOD! YOU UNDERSTAND! YOU SAID A WORD! AHHHHHHHHH!"
Little Voice is now scared to death and will probably never say another word.

We move onto another book. We get to Harry's favorite page of "8 big trucks." I point out "trucks." He sticks his arms straight out, shakes and seems to be using all of his might to let out this sound: "Truh...." "TRUUUHHHH...."
I am trying not to scare him, but wondering why all of a sudden TODAY he is suddenly clued into the English language. We move onto other books, and he points out more "Truhs..."

I wonder why he picked those words?

Harry Plays the Guitar

10 month old photo shoot

Now I will use my new pincer grasp to try to get the button that's sewn into the chair.

Is this a good pose, Mom?
